Ulinga Lager Recipe

Ingredients

Method:

  1. Boil sugar with 600ml of the water and the citric acid, until light golden in colour. Pour into a closed type fermenter containing 9l of the water.
  2. Simmer malt extract, salt, and hops for 30 minutes. Pour or strain into the fermenter. Allow to cool below 27°C.
  3. Add 1 teaspoon of dried bottom fermenter (lager) yeast.
  4. After 2 days, place water into the fermentation lock. When fermentation is complete, allow the beer to clear to a reasonable degree.
  5. Take 24 bottles and proceed using the previously described method.
  6. Mature for at least 4 weeks.
